Fourth Annual In-Person Workshop

Experimental Foundations: From Operational Trials to Earth System Models

16-17 September 2026 | Imperial College London
Register here

This year’s theme, "Experimental Foundations: From Operational Trials to Earth System Models" will focus on current and future states of airline and airspace trials and dealing with uncertainty. We’ll hear from scientists and practitioners in contrail science, policy, and operations, providing topic depth and breadth.

The first day will be a series of talks followed by a second day of collaborative small-group breakout sessions. A key feature throughout the workshop will be drafting actionable timelines for research and identifying the resources required to enable them.

Participants who arrive in London on 15 September are invited to attend an informal social event the evening prior to the official event, where workshop credentials can also be picked up. Please indicate on the form if you are able to join us.
